In the Amerika Birleşik Devletleri Senatosu, a new sanctions package against countries and institutions purchasing energy resources from Rusya has been brought to the agenda. A group of senators, led by Cumhuriyetçi Senatör Lindsey Graham and including Demokrat Senatörler Jeanne Shaheen and Richard Blumenthal, as well as Cumhuriyetçi Senatör Roger Wicker, announced that they have reached a significant agreement with the Trump administration on this issue. According to the newly drafted bill, any party importing Russian oil and natural gas is planned to be subjected to sanctions.
