Car and Minibus Collide in Amasya: 1 Dead, 3 Injured

A tragic traffic accident that occurred in the Göynücek district of Amasya has caused great sorrow in the region. The incident took place near the Gözlek village vicinity on the Amasya-Göynücek highway, developing as a result of a violent collision between a car and a minibus. This event, which concerned the local public from the very first moments of the accident, required a coordinated intervention by local teams.

According to initial information obtained at the scene, the car with license plate 05 AFC 867 driven by Selami A. and the minibus with license plate 05 M 4515 driven by İbrahim A. crashed into each other on the road for a reason not yet determined. While significant damage occurred in the vehicles due to the impact of the collision, Cafer Ak (55), who was in the car and could not withstand the severity of the accident, lost his life. This tragic loss was felt following the examinations by security forces at the scene.

Upon notification of the accident, the disaster management system and emergency teams were mobilized and dispatched to the region. AFAD, gendarmerie, and fire crews arrived at the scene, took security precautions, and intervened against the risk of possible fire. At the same time, health teams arrived in the region with ambulances to evaluate the condition of the injured and started aid work.

The process of the condition of the injured and their hospital referrals once again demonstrated the urgency of the incident. Halit B., Ahmet A., and Osman A., who were passengers in the minibus, were taken to the nearest health institutions by ambulances after the initial vital intervention was performed by health teams at the scene. While the treatment of these individuals continues, the body of Cafer Ak, who lost his life, was sent to the hospital morgue after legal and medical examinations.

The judicial investigation process to determine the definite cause of the accident has officially started at this time. After the detailed examinations at the scene by the gendarmerie teams and the review of security camera recordings around the area, an attempt is being made to determine the fault status. As a result of the investigation to be conducted, the factors causing the accident will be revealed, and if necessary, legal proceedings will be carried out.
