Intersection Arrangement Works Started in Artuklu

Intersection arrangement works have been initiated at the four-way intersection on 15 Temmuz Şehitler Caddesi, located around Kasımiye Ortaokulu in Mardin's Artuklu district. This work aims to increase traffic safety in the area and make transportation more orderly. Especially due to the congestion at the intersection near the school, drivers occasionally experienced difficult moments, and pedestrians also had difficulty crossing the street safely. With the completion of the intersection arrangement carried out by Mardin Büyükşehir Belediyesi teams, it is aimed to make vehicle traffic more fluid, increase pedestrian safety, and prevent possible traffic accidents. Neighborhood residents who saw the works stated that traffic accidents with material damage and injuries occurred from time to time at the point in question, and expressed their satisfaction with the arrangement made.

Citizens stated that such small but effective touches significantly ease city life. They emphasized that similar intersection and pedestrian safety arrangements are needed in many points of Artuklu. They expressed that they expect the authorities to identify these areas and implement the necessary works. Neighborhood residents said they hope the arrangement made will ease traffic flow and reduce accidents. In addition, they stated that the municipality should continue such projects.

Within the scope of the intersection arrangement works, improvements such as road widening, sidewalk arrangement, and traffic markings will be made. The works are planned to be completed within a few weeks. Municipal officials recommended that drivers use alternative routes during the works. Citizens living in the area are waiting for the works to be finished as soon as possible and the traffic problem to be resolved. Increasing pedestrian safety around the school is of great importance, especially for students.

Artuklu district is one of the important residential areas of Mardin, and traffic density occasionally causes problems.
