Bulgaristan Defense Minister: No ban on US military aircraft, they will continue to land at Sofya Airport

Bulgaristan Defense Minister Dimitar Stoyanov announced that the American military transport aircraft seen at Vasil Levski Airport in Sofya is part of a routine logistics operation. The minister stated that the US sent a transport aircraft to collect equipment belonging to American military planes previously stationed at the capital's airport. This statement aims to dispel public curiosity and speculation regarding military activities at the airport. Stoyanov emphasized that the flight in question should be considered a completely normal and planned logistical process. Thus, it was clarified that the military mobility in the region is based on ordinary planning rather than any exceptional situation.

Stoyanov also expressed that in the upcoming period, not only aircraft belonging to the US armed forces, but also aircraft belonging to other friendly and allied countries will continue to land at this airport.
