Fetic traffic accident in Çankırı: 3 people lost their lives, many injured

A sorrowful traffic accident occurred in the Bozkır village vicinity within the borders of the Kızılırmak district of Çankırı, resulting in the loss of three lives and causing great sadness in the region. Following the violent collision of two vehicles coming from opposite directions, teams were dispatched immediately, and local authorities launched a detailed investigation into the incident. To reflect the severity and aftermath of the accident, a large number of health and security teams were directed to the scene.

According to obtained information, an automobile driven by İzzet Gümüşbuğa and a light commercial vehicle driven by Remzi Akdemir collided while traveling from opposite directions on the road. The violence of the collision caused major damage to the vehicles, and the local community was in a state of great panic and shock from the moment the accident occurred. The license plate information of the vehicles and the identities of the drivers were recorded in accident reports, and an investigation was initiated to determine the course of the event.

During the initial checks and interventions at the scene, unfortunately, the automobile driver İzzet Gümüşbuğa and 12-year-old Hasan Salih Gümüşbuğa, who was in the same vehicle, were among those who lost their lives. The loss of this child caused deep sorrow and mourning throughout the society, while the family and relatives were faced with unimaginable pain. The toll of the tragic event would unfortunately not be limited to this, and developments at the hospital would add to the family's grief.

Among those injured in the accident and referred to Çankırı State Hospital, light commercial vehicle driver Remzi Akdemir could not be saved despite the intense efforts of doctors and all medical interventions, and passed away. Treatments are ongoing for other injured individuals who were in the same vehicle and hospitalized with various injuries, namely Çiğdem G., Abdullah G., Esma Betül G., and Muhammet Emir Gümüşbuğa. The bodies of the three people who lost their lives were taken to the morgue for autopsy procedures to complete the forensic process, and after the procedures, they were sent to the Çankırı Municipality Mortuary. Work continues by the families and authorities regarding when the funeral ceremonies for the deceased will be held and how the burial procedures will be carried out. It was reported that work is continuing to return traffic to normal in the region and to clean the accident site.
