Injured fawn found in Caracas rescued by authorities

Chacao Civil Defense teams found an injured and stunned fawn (white-tailed) around Plaza Francia, located in the Altamira neighborhood of Caracas. The animal had minor wounds on its right ear and front legs, along with some scrapes.

The teams provided first aid to the fawn and cleaned it properly to prevent the risk of infection. Afterwards, the animal was transferred to the Inparques (National Parks) facilities in Parque del Este to be cared for until it fully recovers and to ensure its return to its natural habitat.

Meanwhile, it was reported that there has been an increase in sightings of wild animals in the urban areas of the capital, Caracas, following the earthquakes that occurred in the region. The sighting of an approximately 1.5-meter-long crocodile in the sewers of the La Laguita neighborhood, in the El Hatillo municipality, was one of the most recent examples of this.
