Houlton Tarım Fuarı Pazar Gününe Kadar Sürüyor

In the town of Houlton, located in the state of Maine, Amerika Birleşik Devletleri, the traditional Houlton Tarım Fuarı has officially opened its doors to visitors. Starting on Friday around noon at Community Park near Houlton Ortaokulu and Lisesi, the fair will continue until Sunday, 12 Temmuz. This three-day traditional event is organized every year with great care to celebrate the region's deep-rooted agricultural culture and promote it to a wide audience. The 2026 program has a very intensive content, offering various activities to visitors that last from the early hours of the morning until late at night. Classic flavors such as coiled pastries, cheese and meat sandwiches, crispy fries, tacos, and burgers offer participants an unforgettable break. Additionally, the midway rides and game areas provided by Smokey's Greatest Shows will serve visitors throughout the week. Guests entering through the gates, which open at 10.00 AM on Saturday and Sunday, can enjoy this carnival atmosphere that lasts all day long.

Within the scope of the event, not only food and entertainment but also a large exhibition hall open its doors to visitors. The Exhibition Hall set up at the John A. Millar Civic Center hosts 18 different competition categories this year, ranging from homemade canned goods to photography. Products related to handicrafts, such as floriculture (flower cultivation), woodworking, quilt making, and homemade baked goods, are also meticulously evaluated by the jury. One of the most striking sections of the exhibition is the special area dedicated to Wabanaki cultural arts. This rich exhibition allows both local artisans to showcase their talents and the artistic diversity of the region to be seen.

Traditional fair favorites also take their places in this year's program without missing anything; especially the highly popular demolition derby and colorful eating contests gather great appreciation from the participants. Furthermore, with the inclusion of new vendors and events in the program this year, it is observed that the organization becomes increasingly diverse each passing year.
