Launch date for Ultra HD on TDT announced in Spain, channel changes beginning

A significant technological transition is taking place in television broadcasting in Spain, and an official launch date has been set for the presentation of the terrestrial broadcasting platform TDT in ultra high definition (Ultra HD). Along with this technological update, broadcasting standards in the country are being raised, and it has been announced that the popular channel SIETE will get a new structure and start broadcasting. There is also the possibility that those listed in the said channel list may no longer be displayed on current devices due to the change of broadcast locations. This scenario refers to a technical situation that may develop depending on the brand and model of the user's television, and the only way to overcome this situation is to return the device to factory settings or reset the channel list and search for current frequencies again. Officials want users to be sensitive, especially so that such incompatibilities are not experienced with the start of the new broadcast life of the SIETE channel. Channel changes are not just a numerical shifting process, but also part of a comprehensive renewal made in the digital infrastructure of broadcast signals.

On the other hand, these developments in the TDT platform are considered part of a broader vision to increase the quality of the digital broadcasting sector in Spain.
