Illegal Construction Operation in İtalya: Two Suspects Detained by Forest Rangers

Law enforcement deepening the investigation discovered a series of unauthorized, comprehensive structural interventions that are incompatible with the natural fabric of the rural area. In addition to the completely illegal renovation of two separate farmhouses, it was documented that a barn, a hayloft, and an old silo were unauthorizedly converted or repaired. Authorities emphasized that this large-scale project was carried out not only without an official construction permit but also in complete disregard of environmental landscape protection regulations. Furthermore, it was revealed that despite the buildings being in an earthquake-prone zone, even a mandatory work notification to seismic safety units was not fulfilled. These negligences pose extremely serious dangers both environmentally and in terms of life safety in the event of a potential natural disaster.

The illegal construction activities were not limited to the renovation of the main structures; the entire outdoor space was reshaped in an unplanned manner. During field inspections, a large swimming pool built without any documentation was discovered. In addition, all open areas of the facility were paved with new, environmentally incompatible surface materials, new access roads for vehicles were constructed, and the site's perimeter was enclosed with new fences, creating various access points. As part of the intervention in the outdoor landscape, new lighting systems that could disturb the environment were also installed without the approval of any authorized institution. The two suspects installed a large solar energy (photovoltaic) panel system on the roofs or land of the buildings without the necessary energy regulation permits. Additionally, instead of the professional and approved treatment systems required to prevent the facility's wastewater from mixing into nature, an illegal wastewater discharge and treatment line was laid. Experts stated that this unauthorized electrical and water infrastructure has the potential to cause environmental pollution and poses a major technical safety risk. The random execution of such infrastructure work without specialized engineering supervision carries a high probability of inviting an environmental disaster for the region in the long term.

After the completion of the intensive and multifaceted inspection process, all legal processes regarding the incident were formalized, and the two responsible individuals were referred to the judiciary. The indictment and investigation files, meticulously prepared by law enforcement, were submitted to the relevant authorities to be sent to the local Municipality where the incident occurred.
