Drug operation in Kırşehir: 2 suspects detained

As a result of a successful operation carried out to prevent drug trade in Kırşehir, teams from the Narcotic Crimes Branch Department, affiliated with the Provincial Police Directorate, took an important step. Police teams conducted a detailed follow-up process against individuals assessed to be trading drugs during the work carried out across the city. Within the scope of these works, a car cruising in the city center was stopped, and a comprehensive search was carried out on the suspects in the vehicle and their surroundings. As a result of the controls, material evidence was seized and the suspects were detained by the security officers.

When looking at the details of the operation, it was determined that 53 synthetic pills were found in the search of the stopped vehicle and the suspects. It was stated that these synthetic pills demonstrated the importance of the police teams' work once again due to their high value and effect in the market. The identities of the detained suspects were announced as D.S. and Ş.B., and it was stated that the procedures for these individuals continued at the police department. Security officials emphasized that the investigation regarding the issue was deepened and other possible connections were also being investigated.

It was stated that operations against drug trade continue resolutely not only in Kırşehir but throughout the country. Kırşehir Provincial Police Directorate announced that the fight against drugs is among the priority issues for the peace and security of the citizens and that such operations will continue uninterrupted. It was requested that the support and tip-offs of the public play a major role in the success of these operations, and that seen and suspicious situations should be reported to the 112 police emergency line. It was expressed that such operations are of vital importance for the protection of young people and society from harmful substances.

It was learned that a judicial process was initiated regarding the suspects and they would be referred to judicial authorities after the completion of their procedures. It was stated that the suspects, against whom legal action was initiated for drug trading, would have their statements taken at the police department and added to the investigation file.
