APHM Says Joint Ministerial Committee Addressing PAC Report

The Association of Private Hospitals of Malaysia (APHM) stated that the Joint Ministerial Committee on Private Healthcare Costs (JMCPHC) is actively addressing issues raised in the Public Accounts Committee (PAC) report on health insurance premiums and private hospital charges. The PAC report criticized cross-subsidies in private hospitals, such as high drug mark-ups and unbundling of basic items, and highlighted sharp premium hikes of 40-70%. APHM reaffirmed its commitment to working with the government to enhance transparency and develop sustainable solutions for healthcare affordability in Malaysia.
