Miskolc-Ózd train line train-car collision: Services operated by bus

A train accident on the Miskolc-Ózd route, a major railway line in northeastern Hungary, has seriously affected the transport network. Following the accident caused by a collision between a train and a car, major disruptions occurred in services in the region, and authorities were forced to take emergency measures.

According to official statements made after the incident, train services were temporarily suspended on the section of the line where the accident occurred. In a statement by MÁV-csoport, it was noted that passengers' travel times would be extended and there would be deviations from the scheduled times, emphasizing that affected passengers were directed to alternative transport options.

Due to the consequences of the accident, an alternative plan was immediately put into place to ensure services continued and passengers could reach their destinations. Instead of the trains required to operate between Miskolc and Ózd, replacement buses (pótlóbusz) have been put into service to carry passengers at this time.
