OEDAŞ Announces Planned Power Outage for Kütahya on July 4

Osmangazi Elektrik Dağıtım AŞ (OEDAŞ) has officially announced that planned power outages will be implemented in various districts of Kütahya as part of scheduled maintenance and repair works on the network. The works to be carried out on July 4, 2026, Saturday, aim to strengthen the energy infrastructure in the region and provide more reliable electricity. This announcement, made to prevent citizens from being victimized, lists the settlements and facilities to be affected by the outages in detail, and it was emphasized that power supply would be prioritized if the works were completed before the planned time. The power outage application will affect both daily life and temporarily stop the activities of industrial facilities in the region, therefore relevant parties are requested to take necessary precautions. Regarding the issue, authorities stated that the works would continue in accordance with the program, drawing attention to the importance of citizens and businesses being cautious against possible disruptions.

The outage, which will be effective between 09.00 and 17.00 in Aslanapa district and its attached rural neighborhoods, was planned to cover a wide geography. In this context, villages such as Çokköy, Çarşamba, Güney, Yeşilköy, Fırhanlar, Sarıot, Kozluca, and Ortaca will be without electricity for the entire day. In addition, large-scale industrial investments and energy generation facilities in the region, including Sav GES, TANAP Doğalgaz Boru Hattı, Tesla 14 GES, Fırhanlar GES, Özden GES, as well as Hasan Demirel and Büyük Avrasya Mermer Ocakları, were among the critical points to be affected by the outage. In the announcement made from Ören Köyü Bahçeli Sokak region, it was shared that the residents of Yağcılar Köyü and Çalköy Yayla Mahallesi would also be included in the energy outage. Due to the breadth of the work scope in the Aslanapa region, it was emphasized that the regional public needs to be prepared as it will affect both settlement and industrial areas.

The planned outage in Kütahya Merkez district will be valid for a more limited area, the Uluköy region, and will be applied within the same time interval as Aslanapa. As a result of the work to be carried out between 09:00 and 17:00 within the central district boundaries, only Uluköy neighborhood will be without electricity due to the operation on the Fındık Köyü 1. Sokak line. In the statement made, it was noted that the work was planned this way to keep the scope of the outage narrow and ensure the uninterrupted continuation of electricity flow to other parts of the center. However, Uluköy residents need to take precautions such as adjusting their electricity usage during the day and charging their electronic devices in advance. This situation in the center was recorded as a measure that would affect the lives of regional residents, even if for a short time.

In Tavşanlı district, however, the power outage due to works to be carried out in the Tunçbilek Gürağaç region will start at 08.30 and end at 15.30, which means an earlier start and end time compared to other regions. Residents of Çınar Mahallesi and Cevizli Mahallesi located in the Gürağaç region will be affected by this outage, and details were shared on a street basis. Tiryaki Sokak within GLİ 1 Tesisi, Yıldız Sokak within GLİ 2 Tesisi, Başkaya Sokak within GLİ 3 Tesisi, and Meltem Sokak within GLİ 4 Tesisi were listed among the areas to be without electricity due to urban transformation and maintenance work. It was conveyed by authorities that the works in Tavşanlı are aimed at strengthening the electricity infrastructure of the region and that citizens have to endure these outages, albeit for a short time.

As a result, the main purpose of the announcements made by OEDAŞ is to minimize the grievances that planned outages may cause and to announce them in advance to inform citizens. In order to get out of the works to be carried out in Aslanapa, Merkez, and Tavşanlı districts across Kütahya with the least impact, citizens need to protect their electronic devices and adjust their work plans accordingly.
