39-year-old Malayali worker Karakkayil Tafsir, working in the Saudi capital Riyadh, lost his life after suffering a heart attack. Tafsir, a native of Thaikkattukara in the Aluva region of Ernakulam, was undergoing treatment at Amir Abdullah Bin Abdul Aziz Hospital in Riyadh, but could not be saved despite the efforts of doctors. The incident has caused deep sorrow among the immigrant community living in the city and his family, while authorities have initiated the necessary procedures to send the body to his country.

Tafsir had been working as a domestic driver for a private family in Riyadh for the last two years and was sustaining his life in this way. The health condition of Tafsir, whose health had started to deteriorate in recent days, was examined at a clinic near his home about five days ago when he first felt unwell, and simple treatment was applied. However, Tafsir, whose condition did not improve and continued to suffer from severe physical discomfort, conveyed his situation to his employer, and as his condition became serious, he was referred to a better-equipped health institution.

With the intervention of the Riyadh Red Crescent, Tafsir was admitted as an emergency to Amir Abdullah Bin Abdul Aziz Hospital, one of the largest health centers in the capital. Despite the intensive care and interventions performed here, the patient's body could not withstand the shock and his life functions ceased. It was announced by the health teams that Tafsir died as a result of a heart attack, and his body was taken to the morgue for the autopsy and official procedures to be completed.

Upon receiving the sad news, the family of the deceased immediately began to make intense efforts to initiate necessary legal procedures and bring the body to Kerala for burial. While Tafsir's father Yusuf Khan and mother Tahira communicated with the authorities, social solidarity associations in Riyadh also mobilized to support the family. In particular, the KMCC (Kerala Muslim Cultural Centre), which is the organized structure of the Malayali community in the region, has intervened in the transportation of the body and overcoming bureaucratic obstacles.

The efforts initiated under the leadership of Riyadh Malappuram KMCC President Rafiq Cherumukku and General Coordinator Rias Chengathu are being carried out in coordination with Ernakulam KMCC President Usman Pareed and General Secretary Majeep Mulayil. Additionally, volunteers such as Hashim Thottathil, Jafar Veempoor, Naseer Kannieri, Waleed Khan, and the deceased's friend Hashim Alappuzha are playing an active role in obtaining exit permits for the body from the country and flight organizations. A network of solidarity has been established among immigrants longing for their homeland for this case, which was announced via social media and phone traffic.
