Children in Huşi, Romania given traffic safety training

Police teams affiliated with the County Police Directorate operating in Vaslui County, Romania, organized a comprehensive awareness and training event aimed at ensuring children's safety in traffic. Numerous children from the region attended this preventive activity, which was held on the walking path of Rodina Park in the Huşi municipality. The main goal of the event was to create awareness among young individuals about the importance of obeying traffic rules. Authorities aimed to increase awareness by practically explaining how children should behave in situations they encounter in traffic. This initiative once again highlighted the local police force's sensitivity to public safety and its active role in community relations.

As part of the organized program, special attention was drawn to how to safely use bicycles and scooters. The risks these vehicles, which have become popular among children in recent years, pose to pedestrians and other vehicles were conveyed to participants through interactive methods. Police officers provided practical training by showing children step-by-step what to pay attention to when using these vehicles. Essential rules such as the importance of wearing a helmet, the necessity of maintaining the required distance to avoid crashing into vehicles, and yielding to pedestrians were explained to the children in an entertaining manner. Thus, the children both had an enjoyable time and had the opportunity to learn vital safety precautions.

During the event, not only was theoretical knowledge provided, but practical exercises were also conducted through sample scenarios appropriate for the children's ages and developmental levels. The meanings of traffic signs, safe methods for using pedestrian crossings, and the basic steps to follow when crossing the street were discussed in detail. Emphasizing that young children are one of the most vulnerable groups in traffic, authorities stated that starting such education at an early age is of great importance. It was expressed that this type of preventive work will play a decisive role in preventing potential accidents and injuries in the future. Police teams patiently answered the children's questions, helping them understand the concepts correctly.

This educational activity in Huşi was also welcomed with great satisfaction by parents and families in the region. Adults expressed that their children need such formal and constructive education to act more consciously on the streets and in traffic.
