A major infrastructure project that directly affects the daily lives of the local population has gained momentum in the Um Ramta district, located in the El Beyda (Ak Nil) state of Sudan. The local administration has declared a mobilization to complete critical road projects, particularly before the upcoming autumn rains. In this context, leveling and filling works are being meticulously carried out on the strategic road connecting the Kuz el-Beyd and es-Sufi regions. Authorities emphasize that timing is vital to ensure the rains do not render the roads impassable. Such projects, aimed at improving the social and economic life of the local population, are of great importance for rural development.

Salah Abdullah Hac Ahmed, Administrative Director of the Um Ramta District, conducted a field visit to the area for on-site inspections of the project. Accompanied by a technical team, he closely monitored the current status and progress rate of the road filling works. During the visit, the director met with the workers on the project, listening to their working conditions and the challenges they face directly from them. Additionally, he inspected the quarry areas where the soil used as filling material is extracted and the transportation processes of the trucks (dőşçü vehicles) carrying the material. The administration confirmed that the logistical flow continues with the desired efficiency and that there are no disruptions in the work.

Wishing to boost the motivation of the workers and technical personnel during the work, the director clearly stated that the local administration is determined to provide them with a suitable working environment. He issued instructions to all relevant departments to ensure that all needs of the workers are met and the obstacles they face are removed as soon as possible. Praising the contracting company undertaking the project and the workers making sacrifices on the field for their efforts, Salah Abdullah demanded that the pace of work be increased further. Authorities emphasize that considering the autumn season will negatively affect road construction works, the project must be completed immediately. Such field visits strengthen the coordination between the administration and field workers, contributing to the successful completion of the projects.

This road between Kuz el-Beyd and es-Sufi is positioned not just as a transportation route, but also as a strategic lifeline for the region. The completion of the road's filling and leveling processes will eliminate the prolonged geographical isolation of numerous surrounding villages. This situation will ensure that citizens' daily transportation needs are met more safely and quickly. Furthermore, vital matters such as transporting agricultural products produced in the region to markets, access to emergency health services, and students' commute to educational institutions will be significantly facilitated. The risk of autumn rains covering the roads with mud and almost turning the region into an isolated island demonstrates the urgency of this project much more clearly.

The local administration of the Um Ramta district states that this road project is just a single beginning and that comprehensive development goals will continue. They will continue to closely monitor infrastructure and service projects to deliver development and modern infrastructure services to every corner of the district. It is aimed to remove bureaucratic and logistical obstacles in front of the projects through the cooperation of all relevant institutions. Increasing such investments that will raise the welfare level of the local population has the potential to also prevent migration from rural areas to cities. Local administrations promise to resolutely continue such strategic infrastructure initiatives in the future for sustainable and balanced growth.
