Zhang Ronggong: Cross-Strait Relations Not State-to-State

Kuomintang (KMT) Vice Chairman Zhang Ronggong, attending the Cross-Strait Sun Yat-sen Forum in Guangdong, China, stated that relations across the Taiwan Strait are not state-to-state. He claimed that the existence of Taiwan's Mainland Affairs Council (MAC) echoes the KMT's narrative on cross-strait relations. MAC Chairman Chiu Chui-cheng refuted this, emphasizing that the MAC is not an affiliate of the KMT.
