Drug Operation in 73 Provinces: 985 Kilo Drugs and 1.6 Million Pills Seized

Under the coordination of the Ministry of Interior, simultaneous drug operations were conducted in 73 provinces, including Denizli, İstanbul, Ankara, İzmir, Antalya, and Bursa. In the raids, which involved thousands of personnel, 985 kilograms of narcotics and 1 million 639 thousand 239 pills were seized.

While 935 of the 1,780 suspects detained within the scope of the operation were arrested and sent to prison, judicial control decisions were imposed on 224 individuals. In the operations conducted under the coordination of the General Directorate of Security Narcotics Department and Republican Chief Public Prosecutor's Offices, mass raids were carried out targeting street dealers and drug traffickers.

A total of 2,670 teams, 6,675 personnel, 17 aircraft, and 34 narcotic detector dogs participated in the raids. During the searches of the suspects' residences, workplaces, and vehicles, large quantities of drug stocks were seized before they could be released to the market.
