Traffic accident in Afyonkarahisar: Parents lose their lives, 8-month-old baby severely injured

In the tragic accident that occurred near Balmahmut village in Sinanpaşa district, Afyonkarahisar, the car went out of control after the driver lost steering control. As a result of the vehicle hitting the barriers, rolling over, and dragging for about 50 meters, Hasan Samur (27) and his wife Zehra Samur (26) inside the vehicle lost their lives at the scene.

Following the accident, the couple's 8-month-old baby A.K.S. was rescued injured by health teams dispatched to the region. While it was reported that the baby, who was taken to the hospital, remains in serious condition, the lifeless bodies of the deceased couple were taken to the Afyonkarahisar Devlet Hastanesi morgue.

According to the information obtained, the couple, who were working as a specialist sergeant and a university civil servant, were returning from a family visit in Uşak. The investigation launched by the prosecutor's office regarding the accident is ongoing.
