Police operation in La Cava neighborhood in Argentina: 75 detainees and weapons-drugs seized

In a large-scale security operation conducted in the La Cava neighborhood of San Isidro city, in the province of Buenos Aires, Argentina, 75 people were detained. During the operation, weapons of various calibers, ammunition, and drugs were seized. As part of the three-month effort, 2,796 individuals underwent identity checks and 979 vehicles were inspected.

The new security plan, carried out jointly by the San Isidro Municipality, the Buenos Aires provincial government, and federal security forces, focuses on dynamic controls rather than fixed checkpoints. Special patrol units, along with the Tactical Operations Unit (UTOI) of the Buenos Aires Police and the National Gendarmerie, continuously patrol the neighborhood.

Thanks to the evidence gathered by security forces, numerous house raids were carried out under court order. During the operations, an automatic pistol was found on one of the captured suspects, and 70.3 grams of cocaine were found in bags thrown from the roof by another.
