AYDEM Yenilenebilir Enerji Corporate Communications Manager Fatih Şamlı visited Kurtul Çakın, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Çukurova Gazeteciler Cemiyeti (ÇGC), at his office. During this important visit, Şamlı shared detailed information about their company's renewable energy investments in the region, particularly those based in Adana. He stated that the Göktaş 1, Göktaş 2, Toros, and Mentaş hydroelectric power plants operating in Adana are among the company's most critical and valuable investment projects in the Akdeniz Bölgesi. The company's contribution to regional development and clean energy production was discussed during this visit. ÇGC deputy chairmen, board members, and press members also accompanied the visit, reinforcing the importance of the meeting.

Şamlı, also touching upon the company's deep-rooted history, reminded that AYDEM entered the sector by establishing Turkey's first private hydroelectric power plant in Denizli in 1997. Growing continuously and making new investments over the intervening years, the company has now reached 25 renewable energy power plants spread across Turkey. With the energy produced at these facilities, a significant contribution is made to the national grid. It was noted that the company reached an installed capacity of 1.210 MW and successfully maintains its vision of "producing energy for life" with this capacity. This growth rate reveals the company's determination and long-term investment strategy in the renewable energy sector.

The global environmental achievements of AYDEM, which adopts an environmentally compatible and fully sustainable energy production model in its operations, were also discussed during the visit. Şamlı stated that thanks to their transparent reporting performance in the fields of climate change and water security, their company achieved great success in CDP, an international (Environmental) platform. By maintaining this success for four consecutive years, the company has managed to be evaluated at the "A Leadership" level in the world. In this context, being the first company in Turkey to reach this level proves that they are in a pioneering position leading the sector. The operations they carry out with an awareness of their environmental responsibilities not only produce energy but also serve to protect the ecosystem.

In addition to international successes in the field of sustainability, the company's internal operations and its approach to employees were also among the topics discussed. Fatih Şamlı emphasized that AYDEM Yenilenebilir Enerji has built a strong corporate culture and maximized the employee experience. Thanks to innovative practices developed towards these goals, the company stated that it proudly carries the globally valid Great Place to Work®️ Certified™️ title. Furthermore, the company's inclusion in Turkey's Best Employers list along with this title was described as a concrete indicator of the value given to people. The creation of a positive working environment is considered a strategic step that directly increases the company's overall success and production quality.

Kurtul Çakın, the Chairman of the ÇGC Board of Directors, who stated that the visit took place in a warm atmosphere, made striking assessments regarding AYDEM's critical role in the sector and its clean energy vision. Touching upon how vital energy is for the continuation of humanity, Çakın stated that the economic life of current fossil fuels is gradually coming to an end. Therefore, he expressed that all states of the world, especially our country, should rapidly turn to clean and renewable energy sources strategically. Stating that they support renewable energy production so that nature can renew itself and a livable world can be left for future generations, Çakın congratulated AYDEM Yenilenebilir Enerji for its efforts in this regard and wished them success in their future projects.
