Minister Çiftçi: We will make the Türkiye Yüzyılı the Century of Peace

Minister of Interior Çiftçi attended a program within the scope of the Milli Güvenlik Konferansları and explained Türkiye's strategies for combating organized crime syndicates. The Minister announced that they have declared 2026 as the 'Year of Combating Organized Crime Syndicates and Drugs'. In this context, it was emphasized that a holistic fight would be conducted against not only the perpetrators of crime syndicates, but also their financial resources, logistics networks, and digital footprints.

In the program, the studies carried out under the heading of 'combating new generation organized crime syndicates' were detailed. Minister Çiftçi shared comprehensive strategies to dismantle globalizing crime networks and protect public order. Additionally, information was provided about combating organized crime in the cyber domain, extradition examples from abroad, and operations against narcotic crime syndicates.

Minister Çiftçi drew attention to the importance of operations targeting the financial and digital infrastructure of crime syndicates. He stated that the Türkiye Cumhuriyeti would resolutely continue its fight against crime both within and beyond its borders with the coordination of all institutions. It was noted that institutions such as the Emniyet Genel Müdürlüğü, Jandarma Genel Komutanlığı, and Sahil Güvenlik Komutanlığı work in coordination in this fight.

Minister Çiftçi, who also made a statement from his social media account, said, 'We are working with determination for a Türkiye where no crime syndicate can see itself above the law and no crime hub can threaten the peace of our nation.' He emphasized that their goal is to make the Türkiye Yüzyılı also the 'Century of Peace'.

Minister Çiftçi stated that they would continue the strong and uninterrupted fight that leaves no breathing room for organized crime syndicates with the same determination and resolve. In the program, information was also shared about current operations and the results obtained. These statements reveal Türkiye's determination and comprehensive approach in the fight against crime.
