Car losing control during overtaking maneuver in Bartın flew into a ditch; the injured refused treatment

In the traffic accident that occurred in the Gürgenpınarı location of Bartın, a car performing an overtaking maneuver lost control and flew into the roadside ditch. The driver, traveling from the İnkumu direction towards the city center, noticed another vehicle coming from the opposite direction performing the same maneuver while trying to pass the vehicle in front. For this reason, the driver lost steering control, completely losing control of the vehicle and going off the road. The vehicle then swerved into the ditch located on the side of the road. The incident was swiftly reported to the relevant authorities following notifications from drivers passing through the area and surrounding citizens.

Upon notification from those who witnessed the accident, 112 Emergency Health teams were dispatched to the area. The medical teams, arriving at the scene shortly after, conducted checks on two individuals inside the vehicle to provide first aid. However, it was learned that the two individuals in the vehicle refused to go to the hospital for treatment. It was reported that the injured left the scene on their own or believed their condition was fine. The medical teams took further security precautions in the area for a while against potential health issues.

The Gürgenpınarı location, where the accident occurred, is situated on one of Bartın's important transportation routes. The crime scene investigation teams meticulously examined the spot where the vehicle stopped and the area where the overtaking maneuver was made, carrying out the necessary measurements. Within the scope of the investigation, where statements from eyewitnesses were consulted, it was stated that the driver's statement would also be taken. Whether any penal action will be taken against the driver regarding the traffic accident will be decided in light of the collected evidence.
