3 people lost their lives in a car accident crashing into a tractor in Çankırı

Three people lost their lives and one person was severely injured in a fatal traffic accident that occurred in the Kızılırmak district of Çankırı. A car that went off the road for a yet undetermined reason crashed into a tractor parked on the side of the road. With the force of the collision, the people inside the car were trapped inside the vehicle and lost their lives terribly. During initial checks made at the scene, it was determined that the car driver had passed away. Following the accident, a large number of security, health, and search and rescue teams were quickly dispatched to the area.

The driver of the car with the license plate 18 DN 639 involved in the accident was identified as Adem Serdaroğlu. The car driven by Serdaroğlu went out of control for a yet undetermined reason and literally embedded itself into the parked tractor. It was learned that Satı İpek, Sadık İpek, and 8-year-old Sadık Aras İpek were also in the car along with Serdaroğlu. Upon the nearby citizens immediately reporting the situation to the relevant authorities, emergency rescue teams were directed to the area. Police and gendarmerie teams arriving at the scene were tasked with ensuring the flow of traffic by taking extensive security measures around the area.

Following the reporting of the accident, health, police, gendarmerie, and fire brigade teams were dispatched to the scene. Three people who were trapped in the car and severely injured were able to be removed from the vehicle as a result of the long and meticulous efforts of the fire brigade teams. The fire brigade teams made a great effort to remove the injured from inside the wrecked car without causing them any harm. Immediately after the injured were removed from the vehicle, initial interventions were made by the health teams at the scene. The severely injured, whose initial treatments were completed, were transported by ambulances to the nearest hospitals due to the severity of their condition.

Satı İpek and the 8-year-old child Sadık Aras İpek, who were among the injured transported to the hospital, passed away despite all the interventions and efforts of the doctors. Thus, the accident's toll reached a total of three fatalities, including the driver, and one severely injured. The bodies of the deceased were taken to the hospital morgue to be handed over to their families after the completed procedures. It was learned that Sadık İpek, who survived the accident with severe injuries, continues to receive treatment at the hospital and his condition is critical. Authorities announced that the health condition of the injured is being closely monitored and all necessary medical interventions are being applied.

Security forces launched a comprehensive investigation in order to clarify the exact cause of the accident. The teams investigating the scene are collecting evidence to determine the technical condition of the car and the tractor, and to identify a possible brake failure or driver error. In addition, security camera footage in the area is being examined to determine how the accident occurred second by second. It was stated that in the light of the findings to be obtained within the scope of the investigation, necessary judicial and administrative procedures will be initiated regarding the incident. Authorities warned citizens that drivers should obey traffic rules and be more careful against vehicles parked on the side of the road in order to prevent such painful events from occurring.
