Swimmers from Çayırova Achieved Historic Success with 25 Medals in Bolu

The swimmers of the Çayırova Belediyesi Eğitim Spor Kulübü (ÇESK) achieved great success by returning from the regional competitions they participated in with a total of 25 medals. The young athletes, who practically embargoed the podium at the 10-11-12 Yaş Ulusal Gelişim Ligi Bölge Şampiyonası organized by the Türkiye Yüzme Federasyonu, achieved success both individually and as a team. This exciting tournament held in Bolu once again revealed how efficient Çayırova's infrastructure investments are. Winning a total of 8 gold, 8 silver, and 9 bronze medals, the club proved to be one of the strongest swimming teams in the region. This outstanding performance stands out as the clearest indicator that the visionary steps of President Bünyamin Çiftçi towards sports continue to bear fruit.

The facilities established and the opportunities provided for the children of Çayırova to meet professional sports infrastructures have enabled the emergence of nationally recognized talents in a short time. Growing and developing day by day, ÇESK continues to train successful athletes not only in swimming but also in many different branches. In this process, which is greatly supported by all the townspeople, especially the families, the dedicated work of the coaches reinforces the technical aspect of the job. Yağmur Yeyin, a ÇESK athlete and one of the most notable names of the tournament, collected medals in 4 different distances and styles with her outstanding performance. While Yeyin was awarded the gold medal in the 50 metre butterfly and 50 metre freestyle categories, she also completed the 100 metre butterfly race in first place, expanding her gold medal collection. In addition, the successful swimmer, who won the silver medal in the 200 metre individual medley category as a result of her competitive performance, outdistanced her rivals with her technique and endurance. Another bright athlete, Ömer Tuğra Pehlül, also displayed great talent by winning gold medals in the 100 metre backstroke and 50 metre backstroke styles. The silver medals Pehlül won in the 50 metre butterfly and 50 metre backstroke races also proved to all spectators how versatile of an athlete he is.

The tremendous successes achieved by the female athletes greatly affected the overall ranking of the team; in particular, the results of Ravza Sümeyye Kırval and Hesna Zeren Turali were among the indispensables of the podium. While Ravza Sümeyye Kırval passed her rivals in the 100 metre freestyle and 50 metre freestyle races to become the owner of the gold medal, she also proved her versatility by winning silver medals in the 50 metre butterfly and 200 metre individual medley categories. Hesna Zeren Turali, on the other hand, gained significant experience by winning a gold medal in the 200 metre backstroke, a silver medal in the 100 metre breaststroke, and bronze medals in the 50 metre and 200 metre breaststroke branches. In addition to these individual successes, the return of names like Ömür Aras Kaya, Ahmet Arda Ayhan, and Derin Karahan with bronze medals showed that ÇESK has a large pool of athletes. All these results clearly revealed that the club relies not only on a few star athletes, but on a deep and talented roster.

The boys' teams also demonstrated their perseverance by winning bronze medals in the 4x50 metre freestyle and 4x50 metre medley categories.
