A draft law has been prepared in Russia to simplify and accelerate the public procurement procedures for the regions. A group of deputies, led by the speakers of both chambers of the Federal Assembly, Valentina Matviyenko and Vyacheslav Volodin, submitted the draft to the State Duma on 10 July.
With the regulation, it is aimed to increase the initial maximum price limit of the contract for small and medium-sized enterprises. This change aims to make regional procurement processes more efficient and facilitate the participation of local businesses in this process.
