Sağlık Bakanlığı's Giant Recruitment Process for 26 Bin 673 Personnel is Starting

Exciting developments are taking place for hundreds of thousands of candidates who have been waiting for a long time to work under the Sağlık Bakanlığı. Following the Presidential approval published in the Resmi Gazete, the official process for hiring a total of 26 bin 673 contracted personnel has been initiated. All eyes are now turned to the KPSS preference guide and calendar to be published by ÖSYM. Sağlık Bakanı Kemal Memişoğlu also shared the details candidates are curious about and made critical statements regarding the process. This giant staff announcement is considered a herald of a new era for thousands of people aiming for a career in the healthcare sector.

According to official announcements, this large-scale employment initiative will be implemented within the scope of the 2026 planning. Minister Memişoğlu provided detailed information about the process, stating that the application dates will become clear after the KPSS exam marathon in September. Accordingly, the appointment process is expected to gain momentum in the last quarter of 2026, and applications are expected to start the moment ÖSYM publishes the preference guide. Candidates are planned to be centrally placed directly based on their KPSS score superiority, without experiencing interview stress. This situation offers a great opportunity for candidates with high exam success.

Looking at the distribution of the giant quota opened by the ministry, it is seen that the vast majority of the quotas are allocated to physicians. According to the official decision, the institution will hire 22 bin 983 specialist doctors and 3 bin 652 general practitioners. For health officer or technician positions, 25 people; for midwife positions, 9 people; and for nurse positions, 2 people will be employed. In addition, it is stated that only 1 quota is allocated for the dietitian position. In statements made by authorities, it was reported that additional quota drafts for non-physician personnel and other auxiliary healthcare branches could become clear in the later stages of the process.

There are some basic conditions that candidates applying for this comprehensive recruitment process must pay attention to. Primarily, candidates must meet the general conditions stated in Article 48 of the Civil Servants Law No. 657. Additionally, the requirement of having graduated from the relevant departments of universities or equivalent educational institutions in accordance with the titles they wish to apply for will be sought. It is also of great importance that candidates have obtained a sufficient score from the KPSS score type valid for the position they will choose. Finally, not receiving a retirement or old-age pension from any social security institution emerges as another prerequisite for employment.

The application process will proceed completely digitally, and candidates will carry out their transactions through ÖSYM's official website. After the preference guide is officially published by ÖSYM, candidates will log in via the Candidate Transactions System (ais.osym.gov.tr) with their T.C. Kimlik numbers and personal passwords. Candidates logging into the system will be able to create their preference lists by selecting hospitals and healthcare institutions that match their scores and criteria. All these transactions will be completed electronically between the specified dates, and thus the candidates' applications will be officially recorded.
