2 People Injured in Chain Accident Caused by TIR with Failed Brakes in Samsun

A chain traffic accident involving 8 vehicles, which occurred in the morning in the İlkadım district of Samsun, created an atmosphere of concern and panic in the city. The incident, which took place around 08.00 on İlkadım Boulevard in Güzeldere Neighborhood, was reportedly caused by a technical malfunction in the brake system of a TIR loaded with straw. The heavy vehicle, driven by a 57-year-old driver named S.A., crashed into other vehicles traveling in the same direction before coming to a halt. As a result of this violent collision, a major accident chain involving 4 cars, 2 TIRs, 1 truck, and 1 pickup van occurred, causing significant material damage in the region.

2 people inside a car driven by B.S. were injured at the time of the accident, causing great fear among citizens and bystanders. Upon calls to the 112 Emergency Call Center by witnesses, police, health, and fire crews were dispatched to the scene shortly. Health officials administered first aid to the injured at the scene and they were taken to nearby hospitals by ambulances for treatment. It was noted that the health conditions of the injured were good and their lives were not in danger, which was recorded as a comforting development despite all the negativity.
