Comprehensive Increases and New Amounts in July 2026 Social Aid Payments

Following the finalization of June inflation figures, the updates in civil servant salary coefficients have been directly reflected in the social aid payments provided by the state. As a result of calculations, significant increases have been made in social support items affecting millions of citizens for the July-December 2026 period. These raise decisions, covering a wide spectrum from elderly pensions to home care aids, and from disability salaries to educational supports, will be reflected to rights holders according to a specific schedule. According to official statements, this regulation was implemented to protect the living standards of needy groups by taking into account changes in economic indicators.

One of the most striking items in the updated payment list, the age 65 pension, has been raised from 6,393 TL to 7,257 TL with an increase of over ten percent. A similar increase is seen in the support determined for disabled citizens; the monthly pension for individuals with a disability report between 40-69 percent has been increased from 5,103 TL to 5,793 TL. The pensions of rights holders with a report of 70 percent and above, indicating a more severe disability status, reached 8,690 TL from 7,655 TL, gaining quite significant momentum. Additionally, while increases were made in the support provided for relatives of the disabled, the payment made to the relatives of children under the age of 18 with a disability status was also updated to 5,793 TL.

Notable rises have also occurred in the financial support provided for individuals in need of care and citizens with chronic diseases. The amount paid under home care aid has been increased from 13,879 TL of the previous period to 15,755 TL, aiming to lighten the burden of caregivers. Similarly, the support item known as chronic disease aid has been raised to the same amount of 15,755 TL. It was stated that increases in medicine and care expenses as well as general living costs were observed in determining these amounts. Payments will continue to be made regularly via PTT or bank accounts.

A comprehensive raise has also been applied to the payments within the scope of the Social and Economic Support (SED) program provided by the state for the education and future of children as of July. The support provided for pre-school education has been increased from 6,912 TL to 7,848 TL, and the amount paid for primary school students has been raised from 9,890 TL to 11,226 TL. While the aid made for students studying at the secondary education level was increased from 10,549 TL to 11,975 TL, higher education support also reached 13,472 TL from 11,867 TL. Furthermore, the amount determined for young people who took a break in their education life but continued to receive support within the scope of SED was updated from 5,275 TL to 5,987 TL, continuing the financial support for young people.

The July raise has also been reflected in widower and orphan pensions within the social security system, but the increases in this category cannot be expressed with a fixed table like other aids. Since widower and orphan pensions are calculated specifically for each individual based on the earning history, number of premium days and rights holder ratio of the deceased insured, the rate of increase in salaries may vary from person to person. The new amounts will be valid until the end of 2026, i.e., until December, and during this time, payments will be made over the current raised figures.
