Heat and wildfire warnings in British Columbia; Lytton hits 40 degrees

Environment Canada has issued heat and air quality warnings for much of British Columbia as extreme temperatures further fuel wildfires in the region.

While Lytton recorded the province's highest temperature of 40.5 degrees, the thermometer in Cache Creek reached 39.1 degrees, breaking the record from two years ago.
