Perplexity's New AI Technology Promises Data Control and Low Token Costs

Perplexity has launched a service that runs AI technology entirely on a local machine.

This service, called Portable Computer, keeps data locally and only accesses the cloud system when necessary. It uses the Nvidia DGX Spark with Qwen 3.8 27B or PPLX 27B models.
