As summer temperatures soar in Adana, children and young people continue to swim in dangerous waters to cool off. Bayram Olmaz, a young man cooling off by the river, said they cannot afford to go to a pool, so they use the free river. He added that if pools were built, they would go there instead. Cabbar Birkiye also expressed that the heat is unbearable and called on the municipality to build pools so people don't have to jump into dangerous waters. Cabbar Çetin, a local resident, emphasized the unique oppressive heat of Adana, saying he had never experienced such humid heat elsewhere. He washed his head to cool down and stressed the need for more preventive measures. Authorities continue to warn citizens, especially children and young people, not to enter unsafe water bodies.
