In the Feke district of Adana, lavender production started by women entrepreneurs on barren land five years ago has turned into a major attraction boosting the local economy and rural tourism. The fields, now covered in purple, have become a popular spot for nature lovers and photography enthusiasts. Thousands of visitors flock to the lavender gardens each year, and this season, despite a late bloom due to weather conditions, the fields at the foot of Hopka Mountain offer postcard-perfect scenery. Visitors enjoy a visual feast accompanied by endemic butterflies and honeybees. Seven women entrepreneurs operating in the area aim to host around 200,000 visitors during the season.

Feke Mayor Cömert Özen stated that the lavender gardens have significantly contributed to the district's promotion and that this success, born from women's labor, grows every year. Özen noted that besides the lavender gardens, attractions like Feke Castle, the glass observation terrace, Karakilise, and natural beauties also draw interest. He invited nature enthusiasts and caravan travelers to the district, highlighting its tourism potential. The lavender gardens stand out as a successful example of rural development.

Visitors say they prefer Feke's cool climate to escape Adana's oppressive heat. A group from Kozan remarked that the purple lavender fields have quickly become an important tourism center. Families visiting noted that areas once rocky and used for grain fields have been transformed into a nature tourism success story. The gardens have become a popular getaway for both locals and visitors from neighboring provinces.
