Ahbap Association Investigation: Haluk Levent and 22 suspects taken into custody

Within the scope of the investigation launched by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office regarding allegations of irregularities at the Ahbap Association, association president Haluk Levent was taken into custody. While the total number of detainees rose to 22 as part of the operation, a large amount of digital material, cash, gold, and various documents were seized during searches at the suspects' addresses.

Haluk Levent was charged with "opposition to the associations law," "laundering of assets derived from crime," and "organization membership." According to the Chief Public Prosecutor's Office statement, it was determined that approximately 120 million lira were transferred from the association's accounts to Levent's personal accounts. Additionally, it was reported that 990 million lira of legal betting were played between 2020-2026 from the account of a suspect who is among the founders, and 390 million lira were lost.

In the investigation file, it was claimed that the donations collected after the February 6 earthquake were transferred to the suspects' personal accounts and used for betting. It was stated that the operation was launched after Haluk Levent started making preparations to go abroad, and it was learned that Levent was taken to the Istanbul Police Department after being caught in Bursa.
