Second wave in Ahbap Association investigation: Number of detainees rises to 39

It was announced that the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office conducted a second wave operation in the investigation of the Ahbap Association, which includes artist Haluk Levent among its members. During the simultaneous operations conducted in Istanbul, İzmir, Kocaeli, and Muğla, proceedings were initiated against 14 suspects and four companies, and a large number of digital materials were seized.

Within the scope of the investigation, it was claimed that donations made to the association were transferred to personal accounts and irregularities occurred regarding the Şile Municipality tenders. In the statement made by the Prosecutor's Office, it was alleged that the donation amount of 125 million 765 thousand liras was transferred to Haluk Levent's brother Berkant Acil and linked accounts. Additionally, while trustees were appointed to four companies, it was determined that three of the detained suspects were already in prison for other crimes.

The report prepared by MASAK highlighted the unusual money movements in the bank accounts of the suspects and the inflows and outflows of billions of liras. The report emphasized the need to investigate whether the high-volume money transfers made under the name of donations were used for purposes outside the association's objectives.
