Arthur Strudel, a German Citizen Living in Antalya, Found Dead in His Home

In the Muratpaşa district of Antalya, Arthur Strudel, a German citizen who reportedly bought a house about six months ago, was found dead in the two-story house where he lived. The incident occurred at the residence located on Paşa Camii Sokak in Tuzcular Mahallesi. E.L., Strudel's wife, had gone to Rusya a while ago to pick up her daughter. When E.L. returned with her daughter, she knocked on the door of the house but received no answer from inside. Upon this, the neighbors, who owned the shop next door, intervened and tried to help the woman.

With the neighbor entering through the garden gate and opening the door of the house, E.L. was able to enter the house. As the woman who entered inside climbed the stairs to go to the upper floor, she noticed her husband lying motionless. Realizing that Strudel had passed away, the woman went downstairs screaming in great shock and panic. The people around also experienced great sorrow in the face of this bitter scene. A neighbor who witnessed the incident immediately called the 112 Emergency Call Center without wasting any time and reported the situation to the relevant authorities. Shortly after, both health and security teams were dispatched to the scene.

The medical teams, who quickly arrived at the scene, immediately checked Arthur Strudel. As a result of the first medical interventions and examinations, it was confirmed that the man had lost his life. Upon this, a municipal doctor was directed to the area due to the procedures required to be performed at the scene. After examining the position in which the body was found and its general condition, the municipal doctor initially classified the death as 'suspicious'. Following this critical determination, the scope of the incident changed and a judicial process officially began.

Upon the situation being deemed suspicious, judicial authorities and law enforcement launched a large-scale operation. Teams from the Homicide Bureau of the Asayiş Şube Müdürlüğü, affiliated with the Antalya İl Emniyet Müdürlüğü, a public prosecutor, and experts from the Olay Yeri İnceleme (OLAY) unit were dispatched to the area. The teams conducted a very detailed examination in and around the house, collecting fingerprints, DNA, and other evidence. In order to advance the investigation step by step, the perimeter of the house was cordoned off with security tapes and closed to general access. Following this comprehensive examination, the body was taken to the Antalya Adli Tıp Kurumu morgue to determine the exact cause of death.

As the investigation deepened, some details about the past of Arthur Strudel and his family also emerged. According to the information obtained, it was learned that Strudel, a German citizen, had recently acquired Turkish citizenship. It was reported that the couple had moved into this house, which they bought in the historic Kaleiçi district of Antalya, six months ago and had significant renovations done to the house. This tragic event they experienced caused a huge repercussion both among their neighbors and in the area densely populated by foreigners. Authorities are waiting for the forensic medical report to clarify the exact cause of death and whether there is a perpetrator of the incident.
