European Radio President Koshta Visits Kiev and Receives European Order

European Radio President António Koshta visited Kiev on August 24 to mark Ukraine's Independence Day and delivered a speech. Koshta quoted the words of Ukrainian poet Lesya Ukrayinka: 'The one who saves himself is free.' He also stated that the European Union is ready to accept Ukraine as a member. Koshta received the European Order and considered it a symbol of unity between Ukraine and the European Union. He also accepted this order on behalf of the governments and heads of state of European Union countries. Koshta sent a strong message of support for Ukraine's membership in the European Union and emphasized that the European Union stands with Ukraine in its struggle for independence and democracy.
