Aydın Apaydın's Tourism Revolt: We Can't Vacation in Our Own Country

Prominent businessman Aydın Apaydın stated that tourism prices in Turkey have skyrocketed, making it impossible for citizens to vacation in their own country. Apaydın emphasized that hotel and resort prices, especially during the summer months, are exorbitant, which victimizes domestic tourists. He stressed that vacationing in one's own country has become a luxury and called on authorities to take action. Apaydın pointed out that this high cost is driving locals to travel abroad. Otherwise, he said, domestic tourists will completely turn to foreign destinations, and Turkey's tourism revenues will decline.

Aydın Apaydın called on authorities to increase inspections and bring prices to reasonable levels. He also stated that incentives for tourism businesses should be arranged to cover domestic tourists as well.
