Fatal worker shuttle accident in Bartın: Multiple vehicles involved, injuries reported

A chain traffic accident that occurred around noon at Çaydüzü Mahallesi Çayırlar Kavşağı in the Bartın central district caused great panic and concern in the region. A worker shuttle belonging to a textile factory, traveling from the direction of Karabük towards Bartın, first collided with an automobile trying to exit the junction onto the main road. Following this violent initial impact, the shuttle minibus lost control and struck another automobile coming from the opposite lane, causing the chain accident to escalate. As a result of this fatal accident, the worker shuttle managed to stop suspended on the roadside, while the vehicle arriving from the opposite lane rolled over at high speed and was thrown into the garden of a house on the roadside.

Upon notification, health, police, and fire crews were dispatched to the scene very quickly, and intensive efforts were made to reach the injured under security precautions. This situation was described as a great miracle by the teams at the scene and surrounding citizens, while the private car that rolled to the roadside due to the collision between the worker shuttle and the automobile exiting the junction was severely damaged.

Due to the accident, transportation on the Bartın-Karabük highway was disrupted for a while, and traffic was provided in a controlled manner from a single lane by the police teams while the vehicles were being removed from the road. After the vehicles left on the road and turned into a heap of scrap were removed by tow trucks, transportation in the area returned to normal, and it is being evaluated that the accident occurred as a result of the drivers' carelessness and failure to obey junction rules, and the detailed cause of the accident is being investigated.
