Survives crash in Batman Gercüş without a scratch

The traffic accident that occurred near the Kırkat Göleti picnic area in the Gercüş district of Batman created a shock effect in the region. The automobile, which lost control after the driver failed to negotiate a turn, somersaulted and was thrown into a field on the roadside, crashing into iron fences and turning into a wreck. Witnesses stated that the vehicle arrived at an extraordinary speed and was able to stop after rolling over for approximately 86 meters, describing the driver's escape from this accident without injury as a miracle. After the accident, gendarmerie and health teams dispatched to the scene examined the driver, N.T., who exited the vehicle on his own.

The 112 Emergency Health team, which arrived at the scene, transferred the driver—who did not even have a nosebleed by chance—to Gercüş State Hospital after the initial intervention. N.T., who was examined in detail at the hospital and whose general health condition was brought under control, was treated on an outpatient basis and discharged after examinations. The driver's escape from the vehicle without injury is considered a great stroke of luck given the visuals of the accident and the accounts of witnesses, while the gendarmerie launched a comprehensive investigation into the accident.

Hasan Bıçakçı, a witness who was doing cleaning and irrigation work in the picnic area at the time of the accident, recounted the moments of terror in detail. Bıçakçı stated that he realized the vehicle was speeding from the engine sound at the time of the accident and felt that the accident was inevitable, and that the vehicle overturned disastrously when it could not take the turn while passing by a pole. Bıçakçı stated that despite the vehicle entering the field by rolling over for approximately 86 meters due to its very high speed, the driver's survival was purely a coincidence, and expressed that he was shocked by the scene he saw.

The state of the automobile turning into a heap of scrap and the severity of the accident brought the importance of security measures and adherence to speed limits back to the agenda. Local officials and health teams emphasized that such accidents could usually result in vital consequences, but this time the driver escaped without serious injury thanks to protective factors and luck. While a short-term density occurred on the road due to the accident, the vehicle was removed from its location by a tow truck and the road was reopened to traffic.

In the examinations carried out by the gendarmerie teams at the scene, evidence was collected regarding how the vehicle lost control and the technical details of the accident. The driver, N.T., was taken under protection to have his statement taken, while the possibility that factors such as excessive speed and turn violation played a role during the accident is being considered. The local people stated that drivers should be more careful, especially on routes with heavy use such as picnic areas, and demanded that measures be increased to prevent similar accidents.
