Summer Day in Bulgaria: Temperatures Reach 35 Degrees

According to the latest forecasts announced by the National Institute of Meteorology and Hydrology (NIMH) of Bulgaria, sunny, calm, and warm weather will prevail across the country on Saturday💥. Bulgaria will experience a real summer day, and thermometers will reach high values in the afternoon hours. Atmospheric pressure will continue to remain slightly above the monthly average.

While air temperatures range between 30°C and 35°C in a large part of the country, the maximum temperature in the capital Sofia will be around 30°C. Friday night is expected to have clear and nearly windless weather. While nighttime temperatures will range between 12°C and 19°C, the morning hours in the capital will be quite cool, measuring around 12°C. During the day, the sun will quickly heat the air, causing temperatures to climb.

Bulgaria's Black Sea coast will offer excellent conditions for beach and sea tourism on Saturday. The sky will be completely cloudless, and a refreshing sea breeze will blow in the afternoon. The air temperature will range between 29°C and 31°C, while the sea water temperature will be around 24°C to 26°C. Additionally, the weak sea waves will create an extremely suitable environment for vacationers in the coastal areas.

In mountainous areas, predominantly sunny weather suitable for nature hikes is also expected. However, a moderate or strong wind will blow from the west-northwest direction in the highlands. While the maximum temperature at 1200 meters altitude will be around 22°C, the temperature at the 2000-meter peaks will drop to approximately 16°C. Although this creates a pleasant environment for those who want to climb the mountains, the wind factor must be taken into consideration.

Meteorologists from Bulgarian National Radio (BNR) state that the most suitable time for outdoor events is Saturday. Because on Sunday morning, weather conditions will start to deteriorate with an atmospheric system rapidly approaching from the northwest. Along with this system, heavy showers, thunderstorms, and a strong northwesterly wind will be seen. Since this wind will bring cooler air masses into the region, a significant drop in temperatures is also anticipated.
