CHILIØ rose to the main stage with Alberta representation at Rockin' Thunder Festival

The music group CHILIØ experienced the pride of making the transition from the small stage to the main stage at this year's Rockin' Thunder festival. Having played only on the small stage called YEG Rocks! last year, the group got the opportunity to open the second day of the festival this year.

The group's achievement of this opportunity came thanks to the Rock the Slot competition, organized for the first time this year by Bear 100.3 radio. Festival organizer Gerry Krochak stated that they were thrilled to be able to bring talents from the Alberta region to the main stage. Stating that they felt both great excitement and serious pressure when they learned they had won the competition, the band members were aware that they were stepping into the big leagues.

However, preparing for the main stage performance was not easy for the group. Because one of the band members living together in Calgary moved to Abbotsford and the other to the United States, the group had to work remotely from each other for the first time in their history. In this process, where individual responsibilities increased, the group found the opportunity to showcase both their teamwork and individual talents.
