Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2 Teaser Reveals Night City Locations from the Game

The first teaser for Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2 has been released, and fans have already identified several locations from Cyberpunk 2077 that will appear in the new season. Netflix, CD Projekt Red, and Studio Trigger dropped a minute-and-a-half teaser for Season 2 today. The brutal trailer, set to Rico Nasty's "You Can't Run From Me," showcases characters like Weak Kingsley, D, Roman Carax, and Talia Yang as they tear back into Night City. Despite offering only a small glimpse of the 10-episode season premiering this fall, it has already given fans plenty to analyze.

Following the teaser's release, some Cyberpunk 2077 players have already loaded back into the game to find where the show's scenes will take place. X user @K_a_l_e_n_k_o compiled several shots from the trailer and matched them to in-game locations. The first image shows Roman standing on a bridge above the Riot nightclub between Watson and City Center. Another aerial shot overlooks the Afterlife, a bar familiar to even casual players of Cyberpunk 2077, which plays a key role in protagonist V's story.

Another location highlighted in the teaser is near the Deravaja Dojo in Little China, where D can be seen standing stunned for a few moments. Additionally, in a separate GIF posted before the teaser, Talia is shown waving to Maelstrom goons at a construction site next to the Arasaka Industrial Park. Fans noted that this is the same area where V and Takemura meet during the Gimme Danger mission. The attention to detail has been widely praised.

Fans have expressed joy at the anime's accuracy to the game's locations. One X user said, "The way this anime is so f**king game location accurate makes my heart burst of joy," while another commented, "Such a small detail but the adverts in the anime being the same as the adverts in the game really shows they care." This level of detail is nothing new for Studio Trigger, as Season 1 was also celebrated for its faithful recreation of in-game locations. CD Projekt Red even added nods to the original Edgerunners crew in Cyberpunk 2077 updates.
