From Democratic senators to the Pentagon: Investigation results regarding the school attack in Iran remain unclear

25 Democratic senators, including Jack Reed, Kirsten Gillibrand, and Angela Alsobrooks, sent a letter to top commanders regarding the status of the investigation conducted by the Pentagon into the school attack that took place in Iran. The fact that more than four months have passed since the attack and Congress and the American public still lack information about the incident caused a backlash from the senators.

In the letter, the senators addressed US Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth and US Central Command (CENTCOM) Commander Brad Cooper, demanding transparency. Although it was stated that the investigation report in question was submitted in April, it is expressed that the resulting findings or the details of the report have not been shared.

This initiative is considered part of Congress's authority to hold the executive branch and military officials accountable. The senators are calling on officials to make statements regarding the clarification of the attack in Iran and the clarification of the US's possible involvement.
