16 out of 24 suspects arrested in FETÖ operation

A large-scale operation was conducted against the current structure of the Fetullahist Terrorist Organization (FETÖ) in 8 provinces, centered in İstanbul. 16 of the 24 suspects detained in the operation were arrested and sent to prison. Within the scope of the investigation, digital materials belonging to the suspects were confiscated.

It was reported that the operation was launched to expose the activities carried out by the organization under the guise of legal entities. The suspects are alleged to have played an active role in FETÖ's current structure and directed its organizational activities.

In a statement made by the authorities, it was noted that the investigation is being deepened and new detention orders may be issued regarding the matter. It was stated that the operations targeting the organization's activities in legal domains are continuing on a large scale.
