Gaziantep Panorama Museum Restaurant to be Rented: 10-Year Tender Details Announced

Gaziantep Metropolitan Municipality has initiated an official tender process to rent out the restaurant area located within the Panorama Museum in the Şehitkamil district, named 'Havara'. According to the announcement presented to the attention of interested parties, the establishment, which is owned by the municipality and has a closed area of 522,66 square meters, will be rented for 10 years through a tender to be held by open bidding method with an auction under the relevant articles of Law No. 2886 on State Tenders. This process presents an opportunity to trigger local economic dynamics, while also constituting an important municipal investment aimed at providing gastronomic services within the cultural heritage area.

When the financial dimensions of the tender process are examined, it is seen that the monthly estimated price of the business is determined as 40.000 TL, which corresponds to a total contract price of 4.800.000 TL over the 10-year contract period. Potential tenant candidates must first obtain the specification from the municipality's Tender Affairs Branch Directorate for 1.000 TL in order to participate in the tender. In addition, for the bids to be submitted to the tender commission to be considered valid, it is stipulated that a temporary guarantee fee, calculated at 3% of the total estimated price and amounting to 144.000 TL, must be deposited or a letter of guarantee must be submitted.

There are quite strict application conditions and documents requested by the municipality for real or legal persons who wish to participate in the tender. Among these conditions are obligations such as having a legal residence in Turkey, notifying the notification address and telephone number, being registered with the chamber of commerce, and having no debt to the municipality. A particularly striking point is the obligation for bidder companies to submit documents showing that they have employed at least 50 personnel for the last 5 years retroactively as of the tender announcement date and have paid uninterrupted Social Security Institution (SGK) premiums for these employees.

When the timing and application process are detailed, it is stated that the tender process will be held on July 14, 2026, Wednesday, at 15:00 in the Gaziantep Metropolitan Municipality Council Meeting Hall. Candidates are required to submit their files containing all the documents and bids they have prepared to the Tender Affairs Branch Directorate at least two hours in advance, i.e., by 12:00 on the same day. It is emphasized that applications made after the specified time will definitely not be accepted, and those interested in the process are requested to plan their time accordingly and prepare the necessary documents in a blue-tied file.
