HDZ Mayor of Karlovac: SDP and Možemo!'s policy is 'pollute and rule'

The HDZ mayor of Karlovac, Croatia, strongly criticized the policies of the SDP and Možemo! parties. He described their strategy as 'pollute and rule'. According to him, these policies deepen the country's economic and social problems. Responding to criticism about inflation, the mayor did not deny its existence but argued that it is largely imported into Croatia.

The mayor stated that the main cause of Croatia's economic difficulties is global factors. He pointed to rising energy prices and supply chain disruptions as key drivers of inflation. In this context, he claimed that the government's measures are sufficient and that the opposition's criticism is unjust. He also accused the SDP and Možemo! of misleading the public with populist rhetoric.

In his speech, the mayor also highlighted the achievements of local governments. He said that infrastructure projects and social benefits in Karlovac have improved citizens' well-being. He emphasized that these projects were implemented in line with HDZ's vision. He noted that the opposition only criticizes without offering concrete proposals.

Beyond economic policies, the mayor touched on political ethics. He alleged that the SDP and Možemo! consider any means acceptable to gain power, hence their 'pollute and rule' strategy. He claimed their election promises are unrealistic and intended to deceive the public. He stated that HDZ, on the other hand, has a transparent and accountable governance approach.

Finally, the mayor called on citizens to vote wisely in the upcoming elections. He said HDZ has successfully led the country through difficult times and deserves renewed trust. He warned against falling for the opposition's promises, otherwise the country would face greater problems. He concluded his speech with a message of unity and solidarity.
