Major Protest in India from Opposition and Students Against the Modi Government

In India, the Narendra Modi government is being heavily protested by opposition parties and students. The Indian National Congress Party (Congress) has also supported the demonstrations, which have been ongoing for about a month in the Jantar Mantar area of the capital, New Delhi, opening a front against the government. Numerous opposition representatives, notably Congress senior leaders Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi, and Jairam Ramesh, joined the protests near the Prime Minister's residence.

Among the most important demands of the opposition are the resignation of Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan over the NEET exam, which came to the agenda with exam paper leak allegations, and a statement by Home Minister Amit Shah in the parliament on the issue. Congress General Secretary Jairam Ramesh stated that these demands will not be abandoned and that they will exert pressure on the government that will continue throughout the night.

On the other hand, police violence against students is also on the agenda of politicians. While Rahul Gandhi described the intervention against students as an attack on every Indian family, KC Venugopal also accused Prime Minister Modi and the ministers of ruining the future of the youth and called for their resignation.
