53 Ships Change Route in the Strait of Hormuz

The US has changed the route of 53 commercial ships in the Strait of Hormuz as part of its blockade against Iran. 2 ships were taken out of service, while 2 ships were seized. CENTCOM allowed more than 30 ships to pass through the blockade area for humanitarian aid purposes. Maintenance work is ongoing on the USS Abraham Lincoln aircraft carrier. The maintenance is being carried out to keep the ship's strike group elements ready for duty. It was reported that maintenance work is being carried out on F/A-18E Super Hornet fighter jets on the aircraft carrier's deck.
