Strong Reaction from Iran Against US Attacks: Emphasis on the Right of Legitimate Defense

The Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued an official statement due to the US military interventions targeting the country's territory. The Ministry strongly condemned the air strikes carried out by the American military in the last 24 hours, emphasizing that these actions violate the United Nations Charter.

In the statement, it was noted that civilian settlements and infrastructure were directly targeted during the operations. The Iranian administration argued that the mentioned attacks constitute a war crime under international law and accused the Washington administration of violating the memorandum of understanding.

Furthermore, Iran issued a warning to regional countries reminding them of their international responsibilities. Iran stated that neighboring states must not allow their territories to be used for attacks against Iran, declaring that retaliations against the launch points of the attacks would be considered within the scope of legitimate defense.
